A great foundation course on how wool carpets are made from pile fibre selection, through spinning, weaving and tufting to finishing. With very good technical content that will help in attaining a total overview of the carpet manufacturing industry.

A 4-module online training course covering carpet fibres, yarn engineering, machine-made carpet manufacture, carpet construction, textures and styling, carpet performance, testing and classification. Including 3 industry videos to assist understanding. There are questions after each module (totalling approximately 100 questions).

Richard Sudell – Business Development Manager – WoolSafe (UK)

“I’ve been in the carpet cleaning industry 30 years and thought I knew carpets. Your Manufacture of Wool Carpets course really refreshed my knowledge and reminded me of so much I’d forgotten. Well-organised modules took me on the journey from fibre to finished carpet in well-written logical steps. The multi-choice exams at the end of each module cemented the facts and the online format was very easy to navigate. I’d recommend the course to anyone in the carpet and rug industry.”

Paul Sherriff – Plant Manager – Godfrey Hirst (New Zealand)

I recently completed the Manufacture of Wool Carpets course through your organisation. I was very impressed with the course and the material that it covered. I certainly learnt a lot by completing this course which will help me in my career. I would highly recommend this course to anyone who is working in the woollen yarn or carpet industry who would like to increase their knowledge of the whole manufacturing pipeline.
