Textile Floor Covering and the Incidence of Allergic Reaction in Persons

The possible connection between allergic reaction in dust-sensitive persons and certain types of floorcovering is reviewed and discussed. Committees have been set up at various times to investigate this possible connection, which could lead to serious repercussions as far as contract
carpet installations are concerned. The results of several surveys on the relative allergenic properties of carpeted and non-carpeted floors have been published.
