We are pleased to announce the International Textile Flooring Academy (ITFA) online training course Introduction to Wool Carpets has been Approved by The Textile Institute. This course provides comprehensive coverage of the manufacture and properties of tufted and woven carpets.

The Textile Institute’s brand is the international sign of excellence. Through the Approval Scheme, The Textile Institute can award ‘Approved Status’ to providers of in-house training, short courses, on-line training and programmes not otherwise eligible via the accreditation route.

Similar to Approved Status, The Textile Institute is also able to assign credit to approved courses where candidates have set assessment outcomes. This credit can then be used towards gaining Textile Institute professional qualifications along with demonstrating a commitment to continuing professional development.

Submission for all approval is by application, each course is assessed individually to ensure that the training on offer is of the highest standard and supports the learning needs of people employed with the textile, clothing and footwear industries.

Introduction to Wool Carpets has been awarded 15 Credits by The Textile Institute. Credits can be used towards the Licentiateship (LTI) of The Textile Institute.

In fact, someone with 5 years' experience in the textile industry who completes the course and passes the course exam, would be able to apply for the LTI.

Textile Institute professional qualifications are acknowledged by many national governments, as well as by employers establishing that the holder has proved their ability to practice.
